The design takes the form of a simple ‘L’-shaped 6 storey building with a 4 storey eastern leg. It forms a strong urban edge to the street, protecting a shared amenity courtyard at the rear. The building has been designed in response to its surroundings and wider context as well as key elements such as transport and river corridor. Facilities include student amenity space, common room and games area. External space includes landscaped courtyard space, riverfront amenity and rooftop terrace. The building links to a previously permitted student accommodation development also designed by BCa.
